Sinterklaas (also called Sint Nicolaas) is a traditional winter holiday figure in Bakrakondre, Belgikondre, Aruba, Sranankondre and Korsow. Every year he is celebrated one day before Saint Nicholas died (5 December). His servant is Zwarte Piet. Sinterklaas is the basis of the mythical holiday figure of Santa Claus in Kondre Makandrameki.
