This work first published in Yugoslavia is in the public domain because its copyright expired pursuant to the Yugoslav Copyright Act of 1978 which provided for copyright term of the life of the author plus 50 years, respectively 25 years for photograph or a work of applied art. This applies to works already in the public domain before the breakup of SFR Yugoslavia in 1991.

The work meets one of the following criteria:

a) a work of known authorship and the author died before January 1, 1941
b) an anonymous work and it was published before January 1, 1941
c) a photograph or a work of applied art published before January 1, 1966

A source should be included so that the status can be verified.

Dit beeld toont (of lijkt op) een symbool dat door de communistische regering van de Sovjet-Unie, communistische regeringen van andere landen in Europa of organisaties met hen verbonden werd gebruikt.

Het gebruik van dit symbool kan onwettig zijn in Georgië, Hongarije, Indonesië, Letland, Litouwen, Oekraïne en Polen, afhankelijk van de context. In Hongarije is het wetboek van strafrecht 269/B.§ (1993) van toepassing.

Public domain

Dit werk bevindt zich in het publiek domein in landen en gebieden waar de auteursrechttermijn het leven van de auteur plus 70 jaar of minder is.

Je dient ook een Amerikaans publiek domein-tag in te voegen om aan te geven waarom dit werk zich in het publiek domein bevindt in de Verenigde Staten. Merk op dat enkele landen een auteursrechtentermijn hebben die langer is dan 70 jaar: Mexico heeft een termijn van 100 jaar, Jamaica 95 jaar, Colombia 80 jaar, en Guatemala en Samoa 75 jaar. “...The star is inscribed in an imaginary circle with diameter 1/3 of the flag length and with the center matching the crossing points of the diagonals of the flag (i.e., the center of the flag). In this way the top point of the star would reach exactly the middle of the blue stripe, while the lower two points would not reach that far, but accordingly less.
